When you visit the site, standard server logs record your IP address, the pages viewed, the time of the request, and the browser user-agent string. This information is retained for up to 90 days for security and performance purposes and is not sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

This site uses a single session cookie to store your response to the cookie consent banner. No third-party analytics cookies or advertising cookies are placed. You can reject non-essential cookies via the banner shown on your first visit. Rejecting cookies does not affect your ability to read any content on the site.

Third-party content

Some articles include images hosted on Wikimedia Commons (upload.wikimedia.org). Loading those images causes your browser to make a request to Wikimedia's servers, subject to their own privacy policy. No other third-party content is loaded.

Data retention

Server logs are deleted after 90 days. Contact form submissions are retained for a maximum of 12 months. No other personal data is stored.

Your rights

Under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy legislation, you have the right to request access to personal information held about you, to correct inaccuracies, and to request deletion where retention is no longer necessary.
